The Role Our New Zealand Transport (Highways & Bridges) team form part of our Civil Infrastructure business unit, due to internal movement our team is looking for a Professional Structural Engineer to join their Auckland team. You will have the opportunity to further develop your engineering, design and management skills, working with internal and external clients and be involved in key stakeholder engagement processes, contributing to the growth of our business. This is an opportunity to showcase your skills as part of a team with a proven track record in delivering successful projects across Auckland. We have a strong pipeline of projects for you to work on while you assist with active proposals. **Responsibilities:** * Design or project management of small projects or discrete work packages. Professionals manage their own tasks on small to medium projects (or components of larger projects). * Preparation of concise quality technical reports and engineering drawings * Assist in managing project communications, project integration and preparing the costing of proposals. * Develop structural designs, drawings, specifications * The role may require the individual to undertake construction site supervision (as required). **Minimum Requirements** You will have a proven track record in structural analysis and design with over 3 years’ experience in your field and be able to demonstrate: * Structural design experience in transport infrastructure projects including road and rail bridges, retaining walls and other transport structures is essential. * Structural design experience in cut and cover tunnels, soil-structure interaction, temporary works and construction phase services would be an advantage. * Ability to develop structural designs, drawings, specifications. * Proven Experience with NZ codes would be an advantage. * Experience in the dynamic design and seismic design of structures * Strong experience in using software for structural analysis (e.g. Autodesk Structural Bridge Design (SAM), Space Gass, Midas, Microstran, Strand7 or equivalents). * Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team. * Clear and concise verbal and written communication. * The candidate will have demonstrated time management and organisational skills and high-level attention to detail and accuracy. **Preferred Qualifications** + You have a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or similar) + Chartered engineer (CPEng or similar) would be an advantage (or working towards). **What We Offer** We will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
